WINE TOWN 2013: appunti e spunti!

La quarta edizione della manifestazione non è facilmente definibile.

Probabilmente il modo più realistico è quello di guardarla come si guarda un mosaico: le tante piccole sfaccettature assumono un profilo d'insieme solo delineando e affiancando tutti gli elementi disponibili.

Un primo aspetto che è apparso determinante per la riuscita dell'evento è stata la sua pubblicità.
Wine Town si è presentata al pubblico fiorentino largamente annunciata da una grandissima campagna costituita da numerosi manifesti e apparizioni sul Web.
Il sito ufficiale è stato costantemente aggiornato con le date e gli eventi in programma.


The fourth edition of the event is not easily definable.

Probably the most realistic way is to look at it as you watch a mosaic: the many small facets assume a overall profile only outlining and joining together all available items.

A first aspect that appeared decisive for the success of the event was its advertising. 
Wine Town was presented to the public of Florence widely heralded by a huge campaign consisting of posters and numerous appearances on the Web.
The official website has been constantly updated with dates and events.

Il pubblico ha risposto positivamente, interessandosi e lasciandosi coinvolgere negli eventi e visitando gli stand. Il vero elemento conduttore che ha legato i vari punti espositivi sono stati effettivamente i gruppi di persone di tutte le età che, con il calice di vino appeso al collo, si muovevano da una zona all'altra del centro fiorentino per cercare di partecipare a più eventi possibile.

Gli stessi artisti assoldati erano molto eterogenei, sia come età che come stile. Gli spettacoli allestiti sono stati vari ed originali, soprattutto incentrati su temi musicali.


The audience responded positively, taking an interest and getting involved in the events and visiting the stands. The real conductive element that tied the various showrooms were groups of people of all ages, with the glass of wine hanging around their necks, that moved from one area to another in the center of Florence to try to participate in more events possible.

The same artists hired were very heterogeneous, both as age that as a style. The shows that have been set up were various and original, especially focusing on musical themes.

I concerti Jazz si sono rivelati davvero sofisticati, capaci di spaziare su ogni sfumatura di genere musicale, senza dar respiro allo spettatore.
Vi proponiamo in particolare qualche scatto eseguito durante i concerti di venerdì e di sabato sera al Bargello.


Jazz concerts have proved to be very sophisticated, able to sweep over every nuance of musical genre, without giving breath to the viewer.
We propose some photos performed during the concerts the Friday and Saturday night at the Bargello.

A fronte di tutto questo c'e' da annotare una organizzazione un pò scomposta. Complice una situazione meteo impietosa per la seconda metà di maggio, ci sono state evidenti difficoltà nel far rispettare il programma degli spettacoli e degli assaggi agli orari definiti nel programma.
Molti spettacoli serali, purtroppo, sono stati anticipati e gli stand delle degustazioni chiusi di conseguenza.

L'offerta dei vini è stata potenziata e notevolmente curata. Gli stand allestiti sono stati ben realizzati e illuminati, offrendo lo spazio vitale ai presentatori per organizzare al meglio la loro attività "fieristica".
Il Consorzio Chianti Rufina, nella ormai tradizionale location della Sala d'Arme di Palazzo Vecchio, ha fornito uno degli stand con la maggior varietà di assaggi avendo a disposizione i prodotti di tutti i soci e i visitatori non sono mancati all'incontro.

Many evening shows, unfortunately, were deleted and the stands of the tastings closed as a result.

The selection of wines has been greatly enhanced and edited. The stands were  beautifully produced and lit up, providing living space for presenters to better organize their activities of " the fair."
The Consorzio Chianti Rufina, in the traditional location in the Sala d'Arme of Palazzo Vecchio, has provided one of the stands with the greatest variety of tastings thanks to the products of all the members and visitors are not missed the meeting.

Ci auguriamo che la manifestazioni continui nelle prossime edizioni con ulteriori novità e miglioramenti!

Wine Town, l'evento che unisce all'eccellenza dei vini italiani la possibilità di scoprire i più importanti palazzi storici del centro di Firenze, tornerà con la sua quarta edizione il 17 e il 18 maggio 2013.

La manifestazione quest'anno sembra aver avuto una grande eco e c'è grande aspettativa per una partecipazione nutrita a tutti gli spettacoli organizzati.
Con questo articolo, avevamo apprezzato l'organizzazione della passata edizione, a soli 6 mesi di distanza.

Il Consorzio Chianti Rufina sarà presente all’interno della Sale d’Arme di Palazzo Vecchio.

Wine Town, the event that brings the excellence of Italian wines with a chance to discover the most important historical buildings in the center of Florence, will return with its fourth edition on 17 and 18 May 2013.

The event this year seems to have had a major impact and there is great expectation for participation thanks too to all the shows organized.
With this article, we appreciated the organization of the previous edition, only 6 months away.

The Consorzio Chianti Rufina will be present inside the Sala d'Armi of Palazzo Vecchio.

...Tornando a casa dopo WineTown 2012

Viste le belle giornate settembrine e la notte finalmente fresca, ecco che passeggiare per le vie storiche di Firenze torna ad essere un meraviglioso passatempo.

Thanks to the beautiful September days and to the cool night , walk through the historic streets of Florence back to being a wonderful pastime.

Passeggiando in allegra compagnia, scorgi poi che molti dei chiostri e cortili dei palazzi storici sono aperti al pubblico. In una cornice antica e nobile, troviamo perfettamente incastonata una musica rilassante ed evocativa in una atmosfera di luci scenografiche. Il miglior accompagnamento abbinabile in questo contesto è proprio un calice di buon vino.

While walking in good company, we note that many of the cloisters and the courtyards of the historic buildings are open to the public. In a frame ancient and noble, a relaxing and evocative music is perfectly set  in a  atmosphere of spectacular lights. The best accompaniment in that context is just a glass of good wine.

At each stage of our trip through the center of Florence, are organized exciting and original shows : they varies from theater to jazz, from the enchanting storytellers to the light acrobats.

Scorgiamo anche le "isole food", dove il nostro bicchiere si può abbinare con un boccone del cibo della tradizione toscana. Da ricordare anche il gustoso evento tutto dedicato al cioccolato!

We see also the "islands food", where our wine can be combined with a mouthful of food of the Tuscan tradition. We should also mention the tasty event entirely dedicated to chocolate!

Torniamo a casa da WineTown dopo aver trascorso tutta la giornata visitando in lungo e in largo la bella Firenze. Il tempo è trascorso via piacevole tra spettacoli, chiacchiere e assaggi gustosi. Abbiamo proprio la sensazione di aver preso parte a una manifestazione che finalmente ha trovato una sua dimensione e che è riuscita davvero ad animare la città con il Vino.

Aspetteremo con rinnovata fiducia la prossima edizione 2013!

Let's go home after WineTown after spending all day visiting the beautiful Florence. Time has passed by pleasant between shows, talk and taste delicious. We have the feeling of having taken part in an event that has finally found its size and that is really able to enliven the city with the Wine.

WINE TOWN - Edizione 2012

Anche quest’anno torna a Firenze il 21 e il 22 settembre la manifestazione Wine Town, alla sua terza edizione. Wine Town nasce dall’unione del vino di qualità all’arte, un connubio tra i valori del territorio rurale, del paesaggio e dei suoi frutti con l’architettura, la cultura e la storia della città.

La manifestazione si svolge all’interno di alcuni tra i più illustri palazzi storici fiorentini  e nelle maggiori piazze cittadine, offrendo così l’occasione per visitare i chiostri, le logge, i palazzi, le viuzze, i giardini privati e non, accompagnati magari da un buon calice di vino.

In particolare, le degustazioni guidate (che si svolgeranno sia il 21 che il 22 settembre dalle 15:00 alle 23:00) saranno ospitate nei palazzi storici, nei chiostri e negli spazi interni privati, che in occasione della manifestazione, apriranno le loro porte ai visitatori.

Il Consorzio Chianti Rufina sarà presente all’interno della Sale d’Arme di Palazzo vecchio, nella “Zona C “. Le Cantine Fratelli Bellini saranno presenti con una selezione scelta dei loro migliori prodotti per farsi conoscere e (ri)conoscere dai loro ospiti.

L’evento è rivolto infatti sia ad un pubblico specializzato di sommelier, aziende vinicole e ristoratori che alla gente comune, ai fiorentini e ai visitatori che nei giorni dell'evento incontreranno i grandi nomi del vino, degusteranno i prodotti di qualità del territorio e scopriranno, magari, qualcosa di più sulla nostra città.

Concerti di musica classica e spettacoli teatrali animeranno il centro storico di Firenze, i palazzi in cui si svolgono le degustazioni e le strade.

Also this year Wine Town return to Florence on 21 and 22 September, in its third edition. Wine Town born from the union of quality wine and art, a combination of the values ​​of the rural territory, the landscape and its fruits with the architecture, the culture and history of the city.

In particular, the tastings (which will be held both the 21 that the 22 September from 15:00 to 23:00) will be housed in historic buildings, cloisters and private interior spaces, which at the time of the event, will open their doors to visitors.

E' iniziato oggi l'attesissimo Wine Town a Firenze. Finalmente il sito della manifestazione sembrerebbe essere stato completato (meglio tardi che mai!).

Le Cantine Bellini e tutto il Consorzio Chianti Rufina vi aspettano al Palazzo Medici Riccadi per incontrarvi di persona e farvi gustare il nostro buonissimo vino.

WINETOWN - Mostra della collezione "Il Borro"

Una delle proposte più suggestive delle giornate del WineTown è senza dubbio la mostra "Da Mantegna a Manet. Capolavori del Borro" presso la Palazzina della Livia in Piazza San Marco Firenze.

Si tratta di una mostra di rari capolavori: partendo dai superbi Baccanali di Andrea Mantegna, ai tratti morbidi di Paul Rubens, alla fiera di paese tratteggiata da Jacque Callot, passando per i notturni del grande Rembrandt o la maestosità delle cantine pompeiane di Giovan Battista Piranesi, si arriverà ad ammirare il bel Chanteur espagnol di Éduard Manet.

La curatrice della mostra, Martina Becattini, studiosa di arte orientale nell’importante Museo Stibbert di Firenze, ha organizzato un percorso per guidare i visitatori attraverso le molteplici passioni, relazioni e tradizioni umane con cui il vino ha accompagnato e influenzato la cultura dei popoli.

Un viaggio di grande fascino nel tempo e nell'arte per osservare i “modi del bere”, fra gli uomini e fra gli dei. Il vino si mostra, dunque, come bevanda che può portare al ridicolo personalità di alto rango, facendole comportarsi come straccioni, o elevare la povera gente alle altezze della poesia e dell’arte.

Ambiguità che deriva dalla stessa ambiguità del suo creatore divino: Dioniso, come ci illustra il Mantegna nelle sue splendide incisioni.

One of the more evocative events of “WineTown” is undoubtedly the exhibition of paintings "Da Mantegna a Manet. Capolavori del Borro", in the “Palazzina della Livia”, in San Marco square.

This is an exhibition of rare works: beginning with the magnificent “Baccanali” of Andrea Mantegna, to the soft strokes of Paul Rubens, to the country fair painted by Jacque Callot, passing from the night's scenery of Rembrandt or from the cellars of Pompei of Giovan Battista Piranesi, we arrive to the beautiful Chanteur espagnol of Éduard Manet.

The curator of the exhibition, Martina Becattini, expert in Oriental art, curator at Stibbert Museum of Florence, organized a path to guide visitors through the multiple passions, relationships and human traditions with which the wine has accompanied and influenced the culture of peoples.

A fascinating journey through time and art for look at the "ways of drinking," among men and among the gods. The wine shows as a drink that can lead high-ranking persons to the ridiculous, behaving like beggars, or elevate the poor people to the heights of poetry and art.

Ambiguity that comes from the same ambiguity of its divine creator: Dioniso, how Mantegna illustrates in its splendid engravings.

WINETOWN - Il vino torna protagonista a Firenze

Il capoluogo toscano celebra il prodotto per eccellenza delle sue terre: Il vino.

E' stata organizzata una grande manifestazione, "Wine Town", che da Giovedì 30 settembre a Domenica 3 novembre si svolgerà nelle vie e nelle piazze del centro storico. Si potranno degustare grandi vini e la sera alcuni intrattenimenti musicali e teatrali faranno vivere una gioiosa festa di arte, cultura e spettacolo.

Dalla sua ideazione questo evento ha dovuto affrontare grandi problemi organizzativi (tutt'ora il sito ufficiale è un pò confusionario e incompleto), superati grazie anche a tanti partner, sponsor ed enti patrocinanti che a volte, però, non hanno molto a che fare con il mondo dell'enologia.

"Wine Town" non si presenta al pubblico come una vetrina specifica per l'assaggio e la scoperta dei grandi vini toscani ma come una manifestazione che celebra l'anima aggregante e festosa del vino.

Salutiamo con interesse questa prima edizione e staremo con gli occhi aperti per raccontarvi tutte le notizie che, come cantina vinicola, riusciremo a raccogliere.

Florence is celebrating the most important product of her country: the wine.

A large demonstration that involve in all the city, “Wine Town”, that from Thursday, September 30, to Sunday November 3, will take place in the streets and squares of the center.
You can taste great wines and listen some music and appreciate  some theatrical entertainment for live a joyful celebration of art, culture and entertainment.

From the beginning, this event has faced major organizational problems (the official site is still a little confusing and incomplete), that has overcome thanks to the many partners, sponsors and sponsoring institutions that sometimes, however, don't have much to do with the world of wine.

"Wine Town" does not appear to the public as a specific showcase for the tasting and for the discover the great wines of Tuscany, but as an event that celebrates the unifying spirit of the wine.

We welcome this first edition with interest and we pay attention to everything, to tell you the notices that, as a wine cellar, we can collect.
