London International Wine Fair 2010. London Calling

London International Wine Fair has had the record 13.700 visitors, all professional operators, despite the problems caused by the ashes of the Icelandic volcano. The English production is very low, for this motive the United Kingdom is one of the major importing countries in the world and there's no wonder that this fair is so important.

On the website of the event we read that has been an increase of foreign presences, confirming an increasingly open global market, and, for example, is the first time that you can also taste indian wines.

Events and activities of the fair seem to have called a "census" of wineries of the new decade.
"Wine Intelligence" is the title of seminars aimed at painting a picture of current professionals employed in viticulture and the identity of prospective consumers that dictate market trends in the coming years.

Every day of the fair there have been conferences on biodynamic viticulture: such as lunar cycles may affect the maturation of the wine harvest and encouraging the development of fruity flavours or tannic notes, strong scents and ripe or accentuated acidity.

Finally, the center of attention at this exhibition has been the sales and the promotion online: “Get Blogging!”, a ciclo three days of meetings, showed once again that the community of wine lovers is very large and active on blogs, Twitter and social networks in general.

VINEXPO 2010. L'enologia dell'area asiatica

At the end of May there were two important events that allow to give an overview of the global wine market and analyze trends of good drinking in the VINEXPO 2010 in Hong Kong and the 30th edition of the London International Wine Fair.

VINEXPO is the most important exhibition dedicated to wine, because of its alternating biennial nature: the event alternates its annual editions venues in Bordeaux and Hong Kong.

The fair is a meeting point between the European wine market and the Asian and can be the most representative internationally.
Although the fair has a high profile professional, being open only to professional dealers, recorded 12,617 visitors (+ 42.27% over the 2008 edition).

Browsing the site of the event and the news page you can get an idea about the evolving of the wine civilization in Asia.
Japan tries to specialize in the production of wine and begins to export significant quantities of wine in Europe and U.S.

China, while remaining a strong importer of foreign products, is investing in training to improve the quality of domestic production (10th largest wine producer in the world). In this regard, the University of Bordeaux has stabilized a partnership with the University of Hong Kong to develop a specific academic course for managers of wine industry.

In the city of Qingdao an impressive wine museum (8.800 mq) has opened to collect a real "wine bank": visitors can taste wines from 17 different countries.

Even South Korea, in recent years, has had an improvement in wine consumption, becoming the third Asian market, after China and Japan.

In the city of Hong Kong, since 2004, the wine consumption has increased significantly, becoming a symbol of the economic boom, like in the past has been the Fiat 500 or the Vespa for Italy.

SFIZIOSE RICETTE. Sangria!

Sangria,mele,pesche,vino toscano bellini

* 1 litro di vino Rosso toscano Cantine F.lli Bellini
* 1 litro di vino Bianco toscano Cantine F.lli Bellini
* 1 litro di succo d'arancia
* 500 grammi di zucchero
* Pesche e mele a piacere

Summer brings the colors on our tables and a charming atmosphere of celebration.

To accompany the tasty dishes of the season or just to enjoy the cool staying with friends, nothing is better than Sangria!

It’s certainly more economical to prepare it at home, gradually deciding the amount of wine in proportion to fruit, rather than buying a cardboard of ready-mix wine at the supermarket.

Like many popular recipes, also the Sangria is easy to do and isn't necessary to use a Spanish wine.

We recommend using a white and a red Tuscan, dry wines with a flavor that is not too determined, because they have to flavored with fruit aroma.

The ingredients are:

* 1 litre of Red Tuscan Cantine F.lli Bellini
* 1 litre di White Tuscan Cantine F.lli Bellini
* 1 litre of orange juice
* 500 gr of sugar
* peaches and apples

Mix all the ingredients in a big jug, with fruits cut into large slices. Leave wine flavor at least half day.

Serve well-chilled, add also some ice cubes in the jug, so that the Sangria is cool.
