Ci siamo mossi principalmente sulla Interstate 95 per raggiungere le città che abbiamo provato a descrivere velocemente nei precedenti post. Lungo la strada ci siamo resi conto quanto questi luoghi siano a vocazione prettamente residenziale e produttiva. Abbiamo attraversato dei centri ad alto grado di diversificazione industriale: predominavano nel paesaggio industrie manifatturiere, centri commerciali con grandi parcheggi intervallati da zone a grande densità abitativa.
We moved mainly on Interstate 95 to reach the cities that we tried to describe quickly in previous posts. Along the way we realized what these places are purely residential and productive. We crossed the centers with a high degree of industrial diversification: a landscape of manufacturing industries, shopping centers with large parking lots interspersed with areas of heavy population density.

Normalmente le famiglie americane visitano questi enormi magazzini per fare un rifornimento periodico di bottiglie, sfruttando al meglio gli sconti e le promozioni pubblicizzate. E' stato seguito con particolare interesse il periodo di promozione per la scoperta dei prodotti italiani ed europei.
Assieme alla nostra postazione, all'interno di tutte e quattro le sedi della Total Wine che abbiamo visitato, erano stati allestiti anche altri stand di molte altre aziende italiane ed europee con cui ci siamo dovuti confrontare.

Together with our position, within all four locations of Total Wine we visited, had been set up other stands of many other Italian and European companies with which we have had to compare.

Per orientarsi nel mare di bottiglie in esposizione spesso i clienti si affidano più che altro ai punteggi delle riviste più famose (i noti "punteggi Parker"), alle recensioni dirette che si possono trovare in rete, su canali come Vivino, oppure ai giudizi diretti del personale della Total Wine. L'alternativa (purtroppo) è quella di ripiegare su vini tradizionali e puri come lo Chardonnay o il Cabernet.

The alternative (unfortunately) is to fall back on traditional and pure wines as Chardonnay or Cabernet.

Presso Laurel e Towson abbiamo provato una cucina molto condita. I sapori in generale tendono al dolce e i piatti sono spesso accompagnati da salse. In queste due tappe sono stati graditi particolarmente il Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G. Cantine Bellini e il Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Cantine Bellini: questi tipi di vini hanno un gusto morbido e armonico, caratterizzati da note avvolgenti di frutta rossa che bene si accompagnano alla cucina tradizionale di questi zone.
At Laurel and Towson and we tried a very seasoned food. Here flavours generally tend to the sweet and the dishes are often accompanied by sauces. In these two cities people have welcome particularly the Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G. Cantine Bellini and the Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Cantine Bellini: these types of wines have a harmonious and smooth taste, characterized by enveloping notes of red fruit that well accompany the traditional cuisine of these areas.

"Podere il Pozzo" e il Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G. Riserva Cantine Bellini hanno incontrato il gusto dei visitatori fin al primo assaggio.
At Marshallton and Claymont we have found a kitchen easier and more essential that predisposes looking for a more full-bodied wine and strutturato. Wines like Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G. "Podere il Pozzo" and Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G. Riserva Cantine Bellini met the taste of the visitors from the first taste.
E' stata universalmente comprovato il buon rapporto qualità/prezzo! Abbiamo registrato vendite giornaliere sull'ordine delle 100 bottiglie al giorno (fino a superare le 200 nell'ultima tappa di Claymont) facendo esaurire le scorte dei nostri prodotti in tutti i punti vendita visitati. Un risultato sorprendente anche per gli stessi operatori della Total Wine!
It's been universally proven the good quality / price ratio! We recorded daily sales on the order of 100 bottles per day (up to exceed 200 in the last stage of Claymont) so that we have sell out the stocks of our products in all outlets visited. A surprising result for the same operators of the Total Wine!
Nonostante l'enorme concorrenza di marchi ben più blasonati delle Cantine Bellini, ancora una volta il merito di confezionare dei buoni vini da tavola con il carattere autentico delle terre di Rufina è stato riconosciuto più di qualsiasi etichetta patinata. Ringraziamo tutte le persone che sono venute a conoscerci allo stand e la Total Wine per lo spazio espositivo che ci ha dedicato nella loro promozione "Discover Italy".
Despite the enormous competition of more notorious brands than Cantine Bellini, once again, our wines, with their authentic character of the lands of Rufina, was recognized more than any famous label. We thank all the people who came to meet us at the stand and the Total Wine for the exhibition space that has spent in promoting "Discover Italy".
