World Tour 2016. Europa e Cina si incontrano con ProWine

Il 9 novembre si è conclusa con successo a Shanghai la 4° edizione di ProWine Cina, la fiera internazionale di vini e distillati.

November 9 ended successfully in Shanghai the 4th edition of ProWine China, the international exhibition of wines and spirits.

Come l’evento europeo della ProWine di Düsseldorf, la ProWine cinese sembra essere un punto di riferimento ideale sia per gli importatori cinesi, sia per distributori e fornitori asiatici. Quest'anno la fiera ha attirato 12.431 visitatori professionali, con un incremento del 20% rispetto all’anno scorso, con visitatori provenienti da fuori Shanghai che rappresentano il 36%. 

As the European event of ProWine Düsseldorf, the Chinese ProWine is an ideal reference point for both the Chinese importers, both for distributors and Asian suppliers. This year the fair attracted 12,431 trade visitors, an increase of 20% from last year, with visitors from outside Shanghai which account for 36%.

La ragione di questo risultato sta nell'avere sfruttato una buona sinergia con FHC China 2016 - The 20th Exhibition of Food, Drink, Hospitality, Foodservice & Retail Industries - svoltasi in contemporanea nello stesso complesso fieristico: lo Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

The reason for this result lies in having taken advantage of a good synergy with the FHC China 2016 - The 20th Exhibition of Food, Drink, Hospitality, Foodservice & Retail Industries - that took place simultaneously in the same exhibition center: the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

Abbiamo potuto partecipare a questa edizione internazionale attraverso il canale organizzativo del Consorzio Chianti, dove ritroviamo abitualmente un gruppo affiatato di "colleghi" viaggiatori.

We have had the occasion to participate in this international edition through the organizational channel of the Chianti Consortium, where we find usually our close-knit group of  "associates" travelers.

Dalla nostra ultima esperienza cinese, Wine&Spirit Fair del 2015, si rafforza un'impressione complessiva
che il vino non sia, tutto sommato, un prodotto ancora troppo esotico ai gusti dei ristoratori e operatori eno-gastronomici cinesi.

Since our last Chinese experience, Wine & Spirit Fair of 2015, is strengthened our overall impression that wine is not, after all, a product still too exotic for the Chinese food restaurant owners and operators.

Partecipando a questo evento e stilando dei sintetici profili sui visitatori della fiera, abbiamo osservato come il vino possa essere uno dei motori dell'evoluzione dell'intrattenimento culinario cinese che trasformerà l'intera offerta gourmet dei prossimi anni. In Cina sta esplodendo, soprattutto tra i giovani, una vera e propria moda del "mangiare" europeo. Non  è un caso che i padiglioni degli espositori internazionali più quotati fossero proprio quelli di Francia, Italia e Spagna.

By participating in this event and by drawing up a synthetic profiles on the fair visitors, we observed that the wine can be one of the engines of the evolving of the entertainment Chinese culinary that will transform the entire gourmet offer in the coming years. In China is exploding, especially among young people, a true fashion of "eating European". It is no coincidence that the pavilions of the most quoted international exhibitors were precisely those of France, Italy and Spain.

Alla costruzione di un nuovo "trend" della vita mondana cinese si affacciano anche discutibili prodotti innovativi, caricati di colore e coloranti artificiali.

In the construction of a new "trend" of Chinese social life also overlook questionable innovative products, loaded with color and artificial colors. 

Tuttavia i nostri vini "tradizionali" hanno rivelato avere un fascino ben più ampio. Il fascino un prodotto originale e di qualità, concepito attraverso precisi disciplinari e concretamente riconosciuto da 300 anni di storia.
Per soddisfare i gusti più "estrosi" abbiamo comunque proposto le nostre bottiglie celebrative con la forma di "Squalo" e "Torre di Pisa".

However, our "traditional" wines have proven to have a much broader appeal. The charm of an original and quality product, conceived through precise specifications and concretely recognized by 300 years of history. 
To satisfy the most "whimsical" tastes we still brought our commemorative bottles in the shape of  "Jaws" and "Tower of Pisa".

Forti di questo slancio culturale, le bottiglie delle Cantine Bellini inziano a farsi notare anche sugli scaffali di importanti compagnie di importazione, affiancati a grandi nomi del panorama mondiale, come l'amarone.

Armed with this cultural momentum, the bottles of the Cantine Bellini begin to be noticed even on the shelves of major import companies, along with important names on the world stage such as Amarone.

RADICI. Una storia lunga 300 anni

Le stesse fresche colline che vediamo oggi sono state oggetto, per secoli, di una laboriosa attività rurale, rivolta in particolare alla coltivazione della vite e dell'olivo.

The same cool hills that we see today were the subject, for centuries, of a hardworking rural activities, directed in particular to the cultivation of grapes and olives.

Cantine Bellini, assieme agli altri produttori del Consorzio Chianti Rufina, hanno ereditato l'antica arte del fare vino che, di fatto, ha attraversato tutta la storia della nostra civiltà.
In particolare, quest'anno, si celebra un episodio fondamentale che ha fortemente influenzato il destino economico e politico del nostro territorio.

Cantine Bellini, together with the other producers of the Chianti Rufina Consortium, has inherited the ancient art of making wine that, in fact, went through the whole history of our civilization.
In particular, this year, it's celebrated an important episode that has greatly influenced the economic and political destiny of our country.

Artefice di questa pietra miliare è il Granduca dè Medici Cosimo III che il 24 settembre del 1716 promulgò un bando che si intitola “Sopra la Dichiarazione de’ confini delle quattro regioni Chianti, Pomino, Carmignano e Valdarno Superiore”: per la prima volta nella storia con questo documento vengono definiti con precisione gli ambiti territoriali entro i quali dovevano essere prodotti i vini per ottenere la denominazione corrispondente.

The author of this landmark is the Gran Duca Cosimo III dè Medici that on September 24 of 1716 promulgated a proclamation titled "About the Declaration of the boundaries of the four regions of Chianti, Pomino, Carmignano and Valdarno": for the first time in history with this document are defined in detail the territorial areas within which the wines had to be produced to obtain the corresponding denomination.

Questo provvedimento, pur stabilendo entro quali confini il vino doveva essere prodotto per poter foggiare l'ambita denominazione, non indicava un disciplinare di produzione da rispettare, che è invece un elemento fondamentale delle moderne D.O.C.. Tuttavia, Cosimo III si premurò di promulgare anche un decreto che istituiva apposite Congregazioni di vigilanza sulla produzione: nascevano di fatto così gli attuali Consorzi di tutela del vino.

This document, even if establish the borders inside which the wine must be produced in order to have the craved designation, did not indicate a production protocol to be respected, which is instead a fundamental element of modern D.O.C.. However, Cosimo III took care to promulgate a decree that imposed the creation of an appropriate supervisory Congregations of the production: it's the born of the actual wine Consortium.

Ultimi test su tavola della linea Mamb-O!

Secondo atto del progetto WineArt presso l'Osteria De Pazzi di Firenze. Cantine Bellini e Maurizio Baccili presiedono il 17 marzo una nuova cena di degustazione per parlare della nuova linea Mamb-O che sta per comparire nelle enoteche e nei supermercati di tutto il mondo.

Second act of Wine Art project at Osteria De Pazzi of Florence. Cantine Bellini and Maurizio Baccili preside, on March 17, a new tasting dinner to talk about the new MAMB-O line that is going to appear in wine shops and supermarkets around the world.

Non si può descrivere il piacere di vivere arte, vino, buona cucina e buona compagnia ... tutto nella stessa serata!  Per noi rimane il miglior modo per scacciare lo stress quotidiano!

We can not describe the pleasure to live the art, the wine, the good food and the good company ... all in the same evening! For us remains the best way to chase away the daily stress!

E' da sottolineare come gli ultimi test di degustazione siano stati svolti con un'elevatatissima preparazione tecnica. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di coinvolgere molti sommelier per questa anteprima che hanno potuto commentare le loro impressioni dal vivo.

It should be emphasized that the last taste tests have been carried out with un'elevatatissima technical preparation. We were lucky enough to involve many sommeliers at this preview so that they could comment with their impressions live.

Un'altra occasione di studio della linea Mamb-O è stata svolta presso l'Hotel Mediterraneo di Firenze durante la nona lezione del primo Livello A.I.S. con argomento: "il vino italiano e le sue leggi". La chiarezza espositiva e la passione del Relatore Alessandro Oddo ha condotto i corsisti alla scoperta dei vitigni principali della tradizione italiana e durante questa lezione, tra i vini in degustazione, il sommelier Andrea Masi ha descritto il Dominante e raccontato del progetto di WineArt.

Another opportunity to study the Mamb-O line was conducted at the Hotel Mediterraneo in Florence during the ninth lesson of the first level A.I.S. with topic: "Italian wine and its laws." The clarity and passion of the Rapporteur Alessandro Oddo led the students to discover the main varieties of the Italian wine  and during this lesson, among the wines for tasting, the sommelier Andrea Masi described the Dominant wine and told about the WineArt project.

World Tour 2016 - Tokyo - Una cartolina dal Giappone

Il viaggio in Giappone inizia con un saluto al più piccolo della famiglia.
Stefano è un bambino di 4 anni curioso di scoprire il mondo e appassionato di storie di luoghi lontani.
Attraverso un classico dell'animazione giapponese "Il mio vicino Totoro" di Miyazaki si è potuto fare un'idea del paesaggio e della cultura di questo importante stato asiatico.

The Japan trip begins with a salute to the smallest of the family.
Stefano is a 4 year old child curious to discover the world and passionate of stories of faraway places.
Through a Japanese animation classic "My Neighbor Totoro" of Miyazaki it was possible to get an idea of the landscape and of the culture of this important Asian state.

Alla notizia del viaggio, sentiamo domandare «Nonno, vai con lo zio ad incontrare Totoro? », cui segue una risposta spontanea, un pò evasiva: «Cercheremo di vederlo...»!

At the news of the trip, we feel asking, «Grandpa, you go with the uncle to meet Totoro?», followed by a spontaneous response, a little evasive: «We'll try to see it ...»!

Arriviamo a Tokyo e veniamo rapiti dalla intricata complessità diuna megalopoli neanche lontanamente paragonabile ai piccoli centri urbani caratteristici dell'Italia. Per quanto questa realtà sia rappresentata da una una "ramificata" modernità rimane ben "radicata" nel rispetto degli aspetti più intimi del rapporto con  l'ambiente: nei parchi e negli antichi templi è facile ammirare opere d'arte o oggetti sacri dedicati a fenomeni naturali come la crescita, la fertilità e la riproduzione.

We arrive in Tokyo and we are kidnapped by the intricate complexity of a megalopolis even remotely comparable to the quaint little towns of Italy. This reality is represented by a "branched" modernity but remains well "rooted" in the respect of the most intimate aspects of the relationship with the environment: in the parks and ancient temples is easy to admire works of art or sacred objects dedicated to phenomena natural such as growth, fertility and reproduction.

Nell'immaginario popolare il Vento, le Montagne, i Fiumi, gli Alberi e persino alcuni Animali (come le Volpi) diventano veri e propri "esseri" naturali  a cui rivolgersi con famigliarità e sincera devozione.
Anche il personaggio "Totoro", caro al nostro Stefano, non è che una recente rappresentazione di un pacifico guardiano della foresta.

In the popular imagination, the Wind, the Mountains, the Rivers, the Trees, and even some Animals (like Foxes) become real "beings" natural to turn to with familiarity and sincere devotion.
The character of "Totoro", dear to our Stefano, is only a recent representation of a peaceful forest guardian.

L'accoglienza dei nostri partner è, come sempre, squisita e ci fa sentire davvero come se fossimo a casa. Finalmente possiamo parlare a tu per tu con persone con cui ci relazioniamo solo tramite e-mail o telefonicamente. Attraverso le tecnologie informatiche curiamo i rapporti di lavoro ma solo con un incontro diretto possiamo svelare la nostra spontanea passione per il vino.

The reception of our partners is, as always, delicious and makes us feel like we were at home. At last we can talk face to face with people with whom we relate by e-mail or by telephone. Through computer technology, we can treat labor relations but only with a direct meeting we can reveal our spontaneous passion for wine.

Inizialmente ci sentiamo un pò ambasciatori del made in Italy: rappresentanti di un prodotto "esotico" che è un cardine della civiltà italiana... lontana migliaia di chilometri dal Giappone.
Questa impressione si dovrebbe rafforzare proprio saggiando la complessa cucina tradizionale giapponese, ma proprio nel momento della condivisione del pasto, le distanze tra le nostre terre d'origine scompare; emerge una piacevole empatia e una vicinanza di "linguaggio".

Initially we feel a little ambassadors of Made in Italy: representatives of an "exotic" product that is a cornerstone of Italian civilization ... thousands of kilometers away from Japan.
This impression should be strengthened by eating traditional Japanese cuisine, but just at the moment of the meal sharing, the distances between our lands of origin disappears; it emerges a pleasant empathy and a vicinity of "language."

Lo spirito che ispira le nostre parole è lo stesso con cui quotidianamente curiamo scupolosamente la nostra terra e, attraverso la vinificazione, la riunione delle sue essenze vitali.
Durante un momento conviviale e informale, è facile intuire che gli stessi principi animano anche la conversazione dei nostri interlocutori.

The spirit that inspires our words is the same with which every day we take care of our land and scrupulously, through the winemaking, we join together its vital essences.
During a friendly and informal moment, it is easy to see that we have the same principles that enliven the conversation of our interlocutors.

Il vino rappresenta il simbolo di una civiltà che vive in armonia con la terra il cui scopo è preservarne la bellezza, curare la sua fecondità e nutrirsi del suo sublime sapore. Esserne portavoci ci avvicina  un pò ai guardiani delle foreste e delle culture della tradizione popolare. E' il punto di contatto tra due popoli impegnati nella faticosa ricerca di uno sviluppo sostenibile.

The wine is the symbol of a civilization that lives in harmony with the earth whose purpose is to preserve the beauty, cure his fertility and the nourishment of its sublime flavor. Be spokesman of it us closer to some of the guardians of folk tradition forests and cultures. It's the point of contact between two peoples engaged in the arduous search for the sustainable development.

Non è un caso che le bottiglie di vino siano così diffuse nei ristoranti e che siano vendute senza un ricarico così incidente, pur essendo un articolo di importazione. I prodotti tipici delle eccellenze gastronomiche italiane sono diffusi in tutti i supermercati. In media, una famiglia giapponese mangia una volta a settimana qualche piatto italiano.

It is no coincidence that the wine bottles are so common in restaurants and are sold without an incident price mark-up, while being an article of import. The typical products of the italian gastronomic excellence are widespread in all supermarkets. On average, a Japanese family eats once a week some italian dish.

La sorpresa è stata scoprire con quanta attenzione e affetto viene seguito il nostro blog e vedere in prestigiosi baluardi del "mangiare italiano" le nostre bottiglie affiancate ai grandi nomi della enologia internazionale.

The surprise was to discover the attention and affection with wich is followed our blog and see in prestigious bastions of "eating italian" our bottles alongside the biggest names in international oenology.

Il luogo ideale per concludere i nostri incontri è il ristorante italiano "Il Buttero" costruito interamente con arredi e strutture italiane (sia la sala, sia la cucina), dove vengono serviti solo piatti interamente lavorati con ingredienti italiani.

The perfect place to conclude our meetings is the italian restaurant "Il Buttero" built entirely with Italian furnishings and facilities (both the dining room that the kitchen), where only meals entirely crafted with Italian ingredients are served.

Al termine del nostro viaggio archiviamo un'intensa esperienza esplorativa del gusto, della cultura e del mercato giapponese, coronata da un consolidamento per le attività commerciali...e abbiamo anche trovato un Totoro da portare a Stefano (che ha felicemente terminato la sua collezione di peluches)!

 

At the end of our trip we store an extensive exploration experience of the taste, the culture and the Japanese market, crowned by a consolidation for the business ... and we also found a Totoro for Stefano (who happily finished his collection of peluches)!

Am@uZ - Una Magnum per UNHCR

Cantine Bellini e Maurizio Baccili (in arte UZ) hanno voluto donare una bottiglia Magnum di vino Am@uZ Dominante - un pezzo unico da esposizione - allo staff europeo e italiano di UNHCR, rappresentato da Laurens Jolles, delegato UNHCR per il Sud Europa, e Laura Iucci, Corporate Foundations and Major Donors Fund Raiser di UNHCR Roma, in occasione della serata di gala svoltasi a Firenze nella splendida cornice del Grand Hotel Villa Medici, del gruppo SINA, il 23 giugno 2015.

Cantine Bellini and Maurizio Baccili (UZ) wanted to donate a Magnum bottle of the wine Am@UZ Dominant - a unique piece - to the Italian and European staff of UNHCR, represented by Laurens Jolles, UNHCR delegate for Southern Europe, and Laura Iucci, Corporate Foundations and Major Donors Fund Raiser of UNHCR Rome, at the gala evening held in Florence in the beautiful setting of the Grand Hotel Villa Medici, group SINA, June 23, 2015.

On this occasion great artists have engaged in offering free their imagination and passion to hear, see and taste how the world can become a cozy home through commitment and harmony.

Un delizioso mix di sapori italiani e prelibatezze estive è stato preparato dallo staff dell'hotel in collaborazione con lo Chef Andrea Fusco, grande nome della cucina romana.
I commensali sono stati intrattenuti dalle note jazz di Stefano di Battista e Nicky Nicolai che hanno accompagnato lo svolgimento della serata.

A delightful mix of summer flavors and delicacies Italian was prepared by the hotel staff in collaboration with Chef Andrea Fusco, big name of Roman cuisine.
The guests were entertained by the jazz of Stefano di Battista and Nicky Nicolai that accompanied the course of the evening.

Non poteva mancare un contributo di arte visiva: Maurizio Baccili (UZ) con mano sapiente ha impreziosito una bottiglia magnum di vino Am@uZ Dominante, rendendola un pezzo unico da esposizione.

Sia l'etichetta di tela, sia la scatola contenitrice sono state dipinte con motivi dinamici a spirale, molto ricorrenti nella sua produzione.
Mai come stavolta, questi segni, vogliono evocare un'idea dirompente di movimento.
Evoluzioni di colori che chiamano una evoluzione della realtà, soprattutto quella di chi è costretto ad abbandonare tutto e fuggire dalla propria terra.


We could not miss a contribution of visual art: Maurizio Baccili (UZ) with skilful hand has embellished a magnum bottle of wine Am@UZ Dominante, making it an unique exhibition piece, donated at the end of the evening to Simona Grimaudo, ambassador of UNHCR Italy.

Both the label of canvas, both the wood box were painted with motifs dynamic spiral, very recurrent in his work.
Never as this time, these signs want to evoke an idea of disruptive movement.
Evolutions of colors they call an evolution of reality, especially to those who are forced to abandon everything and flee from their land.

Cantine Fratelli Bellini hanno partecipato offrendo ai commensali un assaggio della loro arte e contemporaneamente l'accompagnamento ideale per dei piatti di grande cucina: Am@uZ 100% e Am@uZ Dominante.

Come azienda vinicola, sappiamo di essere custodi dei tesori generosi che la terra ci offre per confezionare buoni vini. Con la nostra azione abbiamo idealmente riportato quei gioiosi frutti della terra a chi dalla terra è stato disconosciuto e tradito. Il connubio prefetto tra vino e arte delle bottiglie di vino Am@uZ rappresenta in questa occasione particolare un inno alla vita (che dovrebbe essere sempre qualcosa di più alto della semplice sopravvivenza).

Cantine Fratelli Bellini has participated giving to the diners a taste of their art, and simultaneously the perfect accompaniment to the dishes of great cuisine: Am@UZ 100% and Am@UZ Dominante.

As a winery, we know we are the custodians of the treasures that the earth offers us generous to pack good wines. With our action we reported ideally those joyful fruits of the earth to those that has been disowned and betrayed by the land. The prefect combination between wine and art of the bottles Am@UZ is on this particular occasion a hymn to life (which should always be something better than the mere survival).
