Chianti Lovers 2019

Sono state 150 le cantine presenti a 'Chianti Lovers', anteprima delle nuove annate vinicole promossa dal consorzio Vino Chianti.

L'appuntamento, aperto al pubblico nel pomeriggio e riservato alla stampa e agli operatori del settore, è stato domenica 10  febbraio alla Fortezza da Basso di Firenze.

There were 150 Cellars present at 'Chianti Lovers', a preview of the new wine vintages promoted by the Vino Chianti consortium.

The event, open to the public in the afternoon and reserved for the press and the operators of the sector, was on Sunday 10 February at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

L'edizione 2019 ha visto una affluenza di pubblico considerevole, in linea con lo scorso anno, che ha riempito il padiglione Cavaniglia, per la prima volta occupato interamente dall’iniziativa.

The 2019 edition saw a large turnout, in line with last year, which filled the Cavaniglia pavilion, for the first time entirely occupied by the initiative.

Affinamento anche dei servizi logistici come per la distribuzione dell'acqua, la disposizione di cestini differenziati per i rifiuti, una appropriata disposizione di tavoli e poltroncine, tre spazi buffet, Nursery gratuita a cura di personale qualificato dedicato ai bambini di età compresa tra i 3 ed i 10 anni dalle 16 alle 21.

Refinement of logistics services such as the distribution of water, the provision of waste bins differentiated, an appropriate arrangement of tables and armchairs, three buffet spaces, free Nursery by qualified personnel dedicated to children aged between 3 and 10 years from 16 to 21.

C'e' voluto qualche anno ma adesso l'evento attira l'attenzione dell'intera stampa nazionale: numerose le interviste effettuate sia da reti locali che dalla Rai. Ringraziamo tutti i presenti e chi è venuto a trovarci presso la nostra postazione!

It took a few years but now the event attracts the attention of the entire national press: there was been numerous interviews conducted both by local networks and by Rai. We thank all those present and those who came to visit us at our location!

Olio nuovo 2017, non lasciatevelo scappare!

L'olivo è uno dei simboli del paesaggio toscano, insieme ai vigneti, ai cipressi e alle colline: in questi giorni è iniziata la raccolta e la frangitura delle olive, un rito antichissimo che si ripete da migliaia di anni.

The olive tree is one of the symbols of the Tuscan landscape, along with vineyards, the cypresses and the hills: in these day has began the harvesting and pressing of olives, an ancient ritual that has been repeated for thousands of years.

Quest'annata sarà caratterizzata da un olio di buona qualità ma in quantità ridotta a causa dell'inverno rigido, delle gelate primaverili e, soprattutto, della siccità estiva. Numerose sono infatti le prenotazioni da parte di ristoratori e di rivenditori per assicurarsi prodotti di buona qualità sulle proprie tavole e sui proprio scaffali.

This vintage will be characterized by an oil of good quality but in reduced quantities due to the harsh winter, the spring frosts and, above all, the summer drought. In fact, numerous reservations are made by restaurateurs and retailers to ensure good quality products on their tables and on their shelves.

L'occasione perfetta per degustare in anteprima le nuove etichette dell’annata 2016 e Riserva 2014.

Per chi non conoscesse Chianti Lovers, possiamo descriverlo brevemente come una passerella per conoscere le aziende produttrici del Consorzio e allennarsi all'assaggio dei prodotti in uscita sul mercato.

400 types of wines presented by over 100 companies.
For those unfamiliar with Chianti Lovers, we briefly describe it as a walkway to get to know the companies of the Consortium and train with the tasting of products coming to market.


 I vini in degustazione non sono ancora completamente affinati e maturati, quindi non rispecchiano a pieno il profumo e il gusto delle bottiglie già in commercio. Tuttavia è un ottima opportunità per identificare i caratteri prevalenti delle nuove annate.
Per citare alcuni esempi: un tannino leggero o troppo marcato, una spiccata dolcezza o acidità, aromi intensi o insignificanti. 

The wines for tasting are not yet fully completed and matured and so do not fully reflect the scent and taste of the bottles already on the market. However it is a good opportunity to identify the prevailing character of the new vintages.
To cite a few examples: a slight or too pronounced tannins, a distinct sweetness or acidity, intense or insignificant.


Per il Chianti Rufina ricordiamo che una delle sue caratteristiche più interessanti è quella di essere un vino molto intenso che rende al meglio solo dopo un lungo invecchiamento. Per i visitatori che si avvicineranno agli stand Cantine Bellini e Podere il Pozzo possiamo lasciare su queste pagine il consiglio di concentrarsi sulla bevibilità della riserva 2014, più facile e immediata. L'anteprima del vino annata risulta un pò più complessa da "interpretare".

For the Chianti Rufina, remember that one of its most interesting features is that it is a very intense wine that makes the best only after long aging. For visitors who come near to the stands Cantine Bellini and Podere il Pozzo we can leave on these pages the board to focus on the drinkability of the reserve in 2014, more easily accessible. The preview of vintage wine is a little more complex to "interpret."

Con grande soddisfazione anche quest'anno parteciperemo anche a BuyWine: un evento organizzato dalla regione Toscana per faciltare l'incontro tra i principali rappresentanti di aziende importatrici di vino e produttori locali. La manifestazione non è aperta al pubblico.

Also this year we will participate with great satisfaction at BuyWine: an event organized by the Tuscany region for a smoother meeting between the main representatives of wine importing companies and the local manufacturers. The event is not open to the public.

VENDEMMIA 2016. Vendemmia da Tiffany

Ad un passo dalla vigna siamo rimasti sospesi,  in ammirazione del perfetto lavoro svolto da Madre Natura al Podere il Pozzo.
Una sinestesia di odori e colori ha intrecciato i nostri sensi . In contemplazione della generosità e bellezza della terra, si accende il desiderio di raccogliere a piene mani quei grappoli che sembrano gioielli.
Mentre ci accingiamo a iniziare il lavoro, ci torna alla mente Audrey Hepburn davanti alla vetrina di Tiffany...

Near the vineyard, we were in suspense in admiration of the perfect job done by Mother Nature at Podere il Pozzo.
The synesthesia of smells and colors has braided our senses. In contemplation of the generosity and beauty of the land, it turns on the desire to gather handfuls of those clusters that look like jewelry.
While we are going to start work, he goes back to mind Audrey Hepburn at the window of Tiffany ...

In perfetta continuità con l'annata 2015, abbiamo avuto trovato il nostro calestro decisamente asciutto. Tuttavia, grazie alle riserva d’acqua accumulata durante questo inverno e primavera assai piovosi, le piante hanno avuto una vegetazione sana, senza alcun tipo di stress.
Durante l'estate, temperature mai eccessivamente elevate e buone escursioni termiche durante la notte hanno fatto in modo di rimarcare quel carattere leggendario del frutto raccolto nel Chianti Rufina.
La resa del frutto è stata regolare, grazie a qualche pioggia di fine agosto, mai violenta e seguita da bellissime giornate di sole, calde e ventilate. Ottime condizioni per completare la maturazione del nostro Sangiovese.

In perfect continuity with the year 2015, we had found our galestro very dry. However, thanks to the water reserve accumulated during this winter and this spring very rainy, the plants have had a healthy vegetation, without any kind of stress.
During the summer, temperatures are never too high and good temperature during the night made sure to point out the legendary character of the fruit harvest in the Chianti Rufina.
The yield of the fruit is regular, thanks to some rain in late August, never violent, followed by beautiful sunny days, hot and windy. Very good conditions to complete the maturation of our Sangiovese.

Osservando gli acini perfettamente sani e privi di qualsiasi traccia di muffa, ricoperti da quel prezioso strato opaco biancastro, la pruina, che ne impedisce l'eccessiva disidratazione e aiuta a trattenere i microorganismi necessari alla fermentazione del mosto. La buccia intatta fornirà al vino sostanze coloranti come gli antociani e i flavoni, il tannino nobile, i lieviti (saccaromiceti) e gli aromi (terpeni).

Observing the perfectly healthy grapes and free from all traces of mold, covered with that precious white opaque layer, the bloom, which prevents excessive dehydration and helps to retain the microorganisms necessary for fermentation. The peel intact will provide the coloring matter to the wine, as the anthocyanins and the flavones, the noble tannins, the yeast (Saccharomyces) and the aromas (terpenes).

I vinaccioli, che non sono altro che i semi della vite, sono regolarmente presenti con il loro carico di sostanze antiossidanti (polifenoli).

The vinaccioli, that are no more than the seeds of the vine, are regularly present with their load of antioxidant substances (polyphenols).

Un ulteriore risultato incoraggiante per il nostro percorso verso la certificazione di vino biologico che non resta priva di insidie. Per esempio, quest'anno abbiamo subito diversi danni da incursioni di branchi di cinghiali. Questo flagello che ha colpito negli ultimi anni moltissimi agricoltori toscani, è oggetto di una contesa politica molto accesa. Appelli alla Regione sono stati lanciati da Coldiretti e anche dalla neonata Avito, l'associazione che riunisce tutti i consorzi vinicoli della Toscana, in modo da partire con la piena attuazione della legge obiettivo contro l'emergenza degli ungulati (presenza quattro volte superiore alla media nazionale).

Another encouraging result for our path towards the certification of organic wine that does not remain without pitfalls. For example, this year we have suffered some damage due to other incursions of wild boar herds. This scourge that hit in recent years many Tuscan farmers, is the subject of a very heated political contest. Appeals to the Region were launched by Coldiretti and also by the fledgling Avitus , the association that brings together all the wine consortia of Tuscany, so starting with the full implementation of the objective law against the emergency of the ungulates (presence four times higher than average national).

 

Tentando di DI-VINARE il vino che berremo nel 2018, possiamo immaginare un carattere sontuoso e vellutato con enormi potenzialità di affinamento. I valori di zucchero e di acidità sono in linea con quelli delle migliori annate degli ultimi 50 anni. I profumi potenti che abbiamo avuto modo di assaporare durante la pigiatura dell'uva fanno sperare nello sviluppo di aromi vellutati tendenti alla frutta a bacca rossa (ciliegia, mora, uva spina).  Probabilmente si otterrà una gradazione alcolica tra i 12 e i 13 gradi. Le alte quantità di tannini permetteranno di confezionare ottime riserve e rinnovare la naturale longevità tipica del Chianti Rufina.

Trying to di-Wine the wine that we'll drink in 2018, we can imagine a sumptuous and velvety character with enormous potential of aging. The sugar and acidity values are in line with those of the best vintages of the last 50 years. The powerful scents that we got to enjoy during the crushing of grapes give hope in the development of a velvety aroma tending to red fruits (cherry, blackberry, gooseberry). Probably you will get an alcohol content between 12 and 13 degrees. The high amount of tannins will allow to pack good reserves and renew the natural typical longevity of Chianti Rufina.

Cantine Bellini and Maurizio Baccili have sent a greedy invitation for February 17 to all its greedy supporters to experience greedy winter dishes paired with our wines from the dizzy labels.

Non è stato difficile radunare una sala di curiosi commensali che hanno assistito alla prima presentazione del progetto WineArt (Incontro tra vino e arte) nel capoluogo toscano. La partecipazione degli avventori dell'osteria è stata molto vivace: già a inizio serata ci sono stati commenti e domande sulle opere esposte... che si sono perfettamente amalgamate con le estrose decorazioni del locale.

It was not hard to gather numerous diners at be present to the first presentation of the project WineArt (Meeting between wine and art) in the Tuscan capital. The participation of the patrons of the tavern was very lively: already in early evening there were comments and questions on the exposed works ... that were perfectly blended with the fanciful decorations of the local.

Per l'occasione si sono intraviste anche delle piccole anteprime. 

Finalmente le prime etichette del Mamb-O Brut sono state stampate.. e sono state messe a disposizione dei presenti per una prima valutazione.

Maurizio Baccili  ha mostrato dal vivo un esempio di come le tavole di legno che chiudono le scatole delle bottiglie Magnum, possano diventare a tutti gli effetti dei quadri da incorniciare.

Maurizio Baccili showed a live example of how the wooden boards which close the boxes of Magnum bottles can become in effect the paintings to be framed.

Alle nove in punto un "BUONASERA" poderoso gridato da Paolo, il nostro gentile ospite, ha zittito la sala del ristorante per poi passare la parola a Maurizio Masi per la presentazione dell'azienda vinicola, durante il servizio del primo piatto.
Per introdurre i sensi del pubblico a "sintonizzarsi" sulla degustazione, è stato doveroso un breve preambolo sulle caratteristiche principali della denominazione Chianti Rufina e sulla storia delle Cantine Bellini che percorre 5 generazioni di vignaioli.   
 
At nine o'clock a "GOOD EVENING" of the mighty voice from Paolo, our friendly host, has silenced the diners and passed the word to Maurizio Masi for a presentation of the winery, during the first dish service.
To introduce the senses of the audience to "tune" on tasting, it was right a short preamble on the main features of the Chianti Rufina name and the history of the Cantine Bellini that runs through 5 generations of winemakers.

Si è iniziata la cena con una Sfarinata: polenta condita con cavolo nero, carote e fagioli in abbinamento al Mamb-O Bianco (Blend di Trebbiano e Malvasia). Un piatto sostanzioso che coniuga la velocità della preparazione a un gusto avvolgente, molto vicino alla classica "Ribollita". 

The dinner started with a Sfarinata: polenta topped with black cabbage, carrots and beans, combined with the wine MAMB-O White (blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia). A hearty dish that combines the speed of preparation to an enveloping taste, very close to the classic "Ribollita".

Si è proseguito con dei Ravioli ripieni di ricotta e cotechino, conditi con un sugo di lenticchie, in abbinamento al Mamb-O Rosso (Blend di Sangiovese e Merlot). Tipicamente invernali, hanno scaldato e rinfrancato l'animo con la loro bontà. 
Andrea Masi ha guidato l'assaggio dei vini sottolineando la loro versatilità. Un basso grado alcolico non appesantisce la bevuta mentre il naso viene trasportato da aromi fruttati.

The dinner is continued with the Ravioli stuffed with ricotta and sausage, served with a sauce of lentils, combined with the wine MAMBO-Red (blend of Sangiovese and Merlot). Typical winter dish, has warmed and soothes the soul with his goodness.
Andrea Masi has guided the wine tasting highlighting his versatility. A low alcohol content does not weigh down while the nose is transported by fruity aromas.

Ogni volta, quando viene servito un cibo particolarmente prelibato, uno dovrebbe osservare attentamente tutti i commensali e mettere coloro la cui fisionomia non esprime gioia ed estasi, sulla lista degli indegni. (Brillat-Savarin).

 Every time, when is served a particularly delicious food, one should carefully observe all the diners and put those whose appearance does not express the joy and ecstasy, on the list of the unworthy. (Brillat-Savarin).

  
Maurizio Baccili ci ha quindi offerto una piccola pausa prima di passare alle portate di carne per rivelare il messaggio della sua arte e "far sentire" l'energia delle particelle in movimento rappresentate nelle sue opere. 

Maurizio Baccili then offered us a small break before moving on to the meat dishes to reveal the message of his art and "to feel" the energy of the moving particles represented in his works.

Nessuna poesia scritta da bevitori d'acqua può piacere o vivere a lungo. Da quando Bacco ha arruolato poeti tra i suoi Satiri e Fauni, le dolci Muse san sempre di vino al mattino. (Orazio) 

No poem written by water drinkers may or may live long. Since Bacchus has enlisted poets among his satyrs and fauns, the sweet Muse have always the flavour of the wine in the morning. (Orazio)

Il menu, in abbinamento al 100% (Sangiovese), ha proposto un morbidissimo filetto di maiale all'arancia con semi di papavero. Questo vino ha dimostrato ancora una volta il suo primato indiscusso nel saper fronteggiare i piatti più grassi. 

The menu, in conjunction with the wine 100% (Sangiovese), proposed a soft pork tenderloin with oranges and poppy seeds. This wine continues to demonstrate its undisputed leadership in coping with the most fat dishes.

Si è terminato con uno spezzatino tipico della tradizione toscana che, come ricorda il nome, "Peposo", ha fama di essere particolarmente speziato. Il sapore deciso di questa pietanza si è sposato con la complessa armonia dei profumi del Dominante (Blend Merlot, Cabernet, Syra, Sangiovese).  Questo SuperTuscany riesce sempre a conquistare i commensali sia con specialità della cucina tradizionale, che con quella etnica o fusion.

The dinner ended with a typical traditional Tuscan stew, which, as the name suggests, "Peposo," is considered to be particularly spicy. The flavor of this dish was married to the complex harmony of the scents of the wine Dominante (Blend of Merlot, Cabernet, Syra, Sangiovese). This Supertuscany always manages to win over diners both with the traditional tuscan cuisine, that with the ethnic or the fusion.

Al termine della serata speriamo di aver contribuito ad allontanare per una sera l'umida noia dell' inverno e aver portato un pò di festoso calore nell'animo dei partecipanti. Per i lettori del blog, speriamo di aver raccontato un menu interessante da sperimentare.

Si prepara una settimana densa di appuntamenti che impegneranno la nostra azienda in molteplici incontri con il pubblico. Come sempre avremo modo di raccontare le nostre impressioni più vive della nostra esperienza nel portare il vino vicino al cuore dei veri appassionati di enogastronomia.

° 12/02 - 13/02 - Buy Wine - Fortezza da Basso - Firenze
Giunto alla sua sesta edizione, Buy Wine è un evento in costante crescita che, negli anni, si è accreditato come punto di riferimento per i buyer di tutto il mondo interessati al vino toscano. Nell’edizione 2015 sono stati circa 6000 gli incontri di business in agenda che hanno portato, nel 63% dei casi, alla stipula di contratti grazie ai quali il 46% delle aziende toscane partecipanti è riuscita ad incrementare il proprio fatturato.
A nostro parere un ottimo punto d'incontro tra domanda e offerta tra veri professionisti del settore.

° 12/02 - 13/02 - Buy Wine - Fortezza da Basso - Florence
Now in its sixth year, Buy Wine is an event in constant growth that, over the years, he is credited as a reference point for buyers from around the world interested in the Tuscan wine. In the edition 2015 were been about 6000 the business meetings on the agenda that has led, in 63% of cases, the conclusion of agreements through which the 46% of Tuscan companies participants managed to increase its turnover.
In our opinion an excellent meeting point between demand and supply of real professionals.

° 14/02 - Chianti Lovers - Ex Manifattura Tabacchi - Firenze 
Anche Cantine Bellini proporrà in anteprima a tutti gli amanti del Chianti i propri vini Annata della vendemmia 2015 e i vini Riserva del 2013. La degustazione è rivolta in una prima parte della giornata alla stampa ed agli operatori, e, in una seconda parte, al grande pubblico.

 ° 14/02 - Chianti Lovers - Ex Manifattura Tabacchi - Florence
Even Cantine Bellini will offer a preview to all lovers of Chianti their wines of the vintage 2015 and the reserve wines of 2013. The tasting is directed in a first part of the day to the press and operators, and, in a second part, to the great public.

L’orario completo di apertura è infatti dalle ore 9.30 alle 22.00. L’orario di apertura al pubblico sarà dalle 16.00 alle 22.00 (solo nell’area espositiva principale – Area 4), mentre l’orario di apertura della sala stampa per i giornalisti sarà dalle 9.30 alle 19.00 (Press Area – Officina)  e l’orario di apertura in fascia riservata per gli operatori di settore e i sommelier sarà, infine, dalle 9.30 alle 16.00 (solo nell’area espositiva principale – Area 4).

L’ingresso per il pubblico è soggetto all’acquisto di un biglietto del costo di euro 15. Il biglietto può essere acquistato in prevendita sia online sul sito di Box Office Toscana, sia presso tutti i punti vendita della rete Box Office o presso la sede del Consorzio Chianti in viale Belfiore 9 a Firenze. E' vivamente consigliato acquistare il biglietto in prevendita, essendo limitato il numero di ingressi alla struttura.

The schedule of opening to the public will be from 16.00 to 22.00 (only in the main room - Area 4), while the opening hours of the press area for the journalists will be from 9.30 to 19.00 (Press Area - Workshop) and the opening hours for sector operators and sommeliers will be from 9.30 to 16.00 (only in the main room - Area 4).

Admission to the public is subject to purchase of a ticket at the costs of 15 euros. The ticket can be purchased either online at the Box Office Toscana, either at all points of sale network Box Office or at the office Consorzio del Chianti, in viale Belfiore 9 in Florence. It's strongly recommended to purchase tickets in advance, being limited to the number of inputs to the structure.

I partecipanti verranno dotati di un apposito “Chianti Kit” (calice e sacchetta porta calice) che darà la possibilità ai visitatori di poter liberamente degustare, senza limitazioni di numero e tipologie, tutti i vini dei produttori presenti. Verrà inoltre servito del cibo a buffet, in alcune fasce orarie, come accompagnamento alle degustazioni.

The participants will be equipped with a special "Chianti Kit" (glass and bag) that will give the opportunity to visitors to freely enjoy, without limitations of the number and types, of all wines of all the producers present. It will also be served a light buffet, as an accompaniment to wine tasting.

Gli incontri con i buyer continuano nella sede istituzionale del Consorzio Chianti Rufina. Dalle 11:00 alle 13:00 nei locali dell'Enoteca di Villa Poggio Reale, i rappresentanti dei principali importatori internazionali potranno vivere per qualche ora il fantastico territorio da cui ha origine il nostro prezioso vino.

Un approfondimento necessario sulla storia e sulla geografia di una piccola zona come Rufina, per dare un volto a un prodotto che non è certo da considerare come un articolo di un listino merci ... ma una vera e propria opera d'arte. Nel resto del pomeriggio saranno organizzate delle visite guidate nelle aziende produttrici della zona, e saremo lieti di accogliere i nostri ospiti presso il Podere il Pozzo.


 ° 16/02 - Buy Wine (winery tour) - Rufina
The meetings with buyers will continue in the institutional home of Chianti Rufina Consortium. From 11:00 to 13:00 in the premises of the Enoteca Villa Poggio Reale, the representatives of major international importers will be able to live for a few hours the fantastic area in which it grows our precious wine.

A deepening is need on the history and geography of a small area like Rufina, to give a face to a product that is not to be considered as an article of a freight list ... but a true work of art. In the rest of the afternoon we will be organized guided visits to wineries in the area, and we look forward to welcoming our guests at Podere il Pozzo.

Un nuovo appuntamento per la promozione la linea di vini lanciata nel 2015 in collaborazione con il pittore Maurizio Baccili, in arte UZ. Una nuova occasione per raccontare arte, assaporare vino e godere delle delizie della cucina toscana. Durante la serata Andrea Masi, Maurizio Masi e Maurizio Baccili sveleranno ai commensali quali meraviglie possono realizzarsi quando vino e arte si abbracciano.

A new appointment for the promotion of wines line launched in 2015 in collaboration with the painter Maurizio Baccili, in art UZ. A new opportunity to tell art, taste wine and enjoy the delights of Tuscan cuisine. During the evening Andrea Masi, Maurizio Masi and Maurizio Baccili will reveal to the diners the wonders that can be achieved when wine and art embrace together.

Il primo impegno estero del 2016 sarà un viaggio di rappresentanza in Giappone per consolidare i rapporti con i principali importatori interessati ai nostri prodotti. Sarà un viaggio breve viaggio d'affari, senza nessun contatto diretto con i consumatori, ma carico di obbiettivi strategici da centrare.

Ha incuriosito la scelta della sede dell'evento: l'ex manifattura tabacchi di Firenze è uno dei gioielli di architettura razionalista, dimenticato e inutilizzato per tantissimi anni. In molti sono stati attratti dall'idea di "riappropriarsi" di un luogo della loro città di cui conoscevano solo la facciata.

The choice of location have intrigued: the ex Manifattura Tabacchi of Florence is one of the jewels of rationalist architecture, forgotten and unused for many years. Many were attracted by the idea of "recapture" a place of their city that they knew only by the facade.

L'enorme spazio vuoto della grande officina dismessa, anche se sapientemente allestito con strutture e arredi ricavati dai pancali di legno, poteva sembrare un pò "freddo".
La passione per il vino, l'allegria della compagnia durante l'aperitivo e la musica di sottofondo sono gli elementi che hanno dato alla serata un calore particolare.

The huge space of the large workshop abandoned, though cleverly set up with facilities and furniture made from wooden pallets, could seem a bit "cold".
The passion for wine, the joy of the persons during the party and the background music are the elements that gave to the evening a special warmth.

Avere un evento blasonato, aperto per la prima volta al pubblico, in un contesto originale e alla portata di tutti (anche economicamente) è stato un ottima proposta per festeggiare S. Valentino.
Accantonata la tradizionale cioccolata, gli amanti di oggi celebrano la propria complicità brindando con calici di ROSSO Chianti!

An excellent proposal to celebrate Valentine has been to have an event emblazoned, opened for the first time to the public, in an original place and affordable for everyone (even economically).
Setting aside the traditional chocolate, lovers of today celebrate their complicity with glasses of RED Chianti!

Sono stati serviti sia i prodotti già reperibili sul mercato, contraddistinti dalle canoniche etichette, sia il vino "anteprima" delle bottiglie che, tra qualche mese, verranno ufficialmente commercializzate, identificabili con un'etichetta generica fornita dal Consorzio Chianti per l'occasione. Il "nuovo" Chianti Rufina, per le sue caratteristiche peculiari di vino robusto e longevo, deve ancora affinare il suo gusto in bottiglia. Per fare del buon vino ci vuole tempo! Siamo certi che fra qualche mese potrete godere tutta la maturità dei sapori che avete percepito ieri sera.

Were served both the products already available on the market, identified by the canonical labels, that wines "preview" of the bottles that, in a few months, will be officially marketed, identifiable with a generic label provided by the Chianti Consortium for the occasion. The "new" Chianti Rufina, for the peculiar characteristics of its wine, durable and strong, still has to refine his taste in the bottle. To make good wine it takes time! We are confident that in a few months you will enjoy all the maturity of the flavors that you felt last night.

2.400 bicchieri venduti già intorno alle ore 20.00. Un afflusso superiore a qualsiasi  aspettativa che ha spiazzato gli organizzatori. Vogliamo precisare che non è stato il  vino a mancare, ma proprio i calici da degustazione! Per non chiudere le porte in faccia a chi voleva partecipare sono stati distribuiti bicchieri di carta. Ci dispiace per alcuni  commenti che sono circolati in rete per la delusione di non aver preso parte alle
degustazioni, ma il numero di biglietti acquistati tramite prevendita (circa 1.000), come  consigliato dal Consorzio Chianti, è stato notevolmente inferiore al numero di partecipanti effettivi.

At 20.00 around 2,400 bags with the wine glasses were already sold . An influx that has exceeded any expectation has stunned the organizers. We want to clarify that  the wine it wasn't finished, but just the tasting glasses! Not to close the doors in the face to those who wanted to participate were distributed paper cups. Sorry for some of the comments that have been circulating on the net for the disappointment of not taking part in the tastings, but the number of tickets purchased through presales (about 1,000), as recommended by the Chianti Consortium, was significantly lower than the number of actual participants.
