Un rifugio per ghiotti virtuosi nel centro di Firenze

Quale migliore occasione di una serata fredda e piovigginosa per crogiolarsi in compagnia dei piaceri della buona tavola? Conosciamo, proprio in centro a Firenze, vicino a Santa Croce, un rifugio sicuro per una evenienza di questo genere: l'Osteria dei Pazzi, all'angolo fra Via Verdi e Via dei Lavatoi.

What better time than a cold and drizzly night to bask in the pleasures of good food? We know, right in the center of Florence, near Santa Croce, a safe haven for an occurrence of this kind: the Osteria dei Pazzi, corner of Via Verdi and Via dei Lavatoi.

Le Cantine Bellini e Maurizio Baccili hanno spedito un ghiotto invito per il 17 febbraio a tutti i propri ghiotti sostenitori per sperimentare ghiotti piatti invernali abbinati ai nostri vini dalle etichette vertiginose.

Cantine Bellini and Maurizio Baccili have sent a greedy invitation for February 17 to all its greedy supporters to experience greedy winter dishes paired with our wines from the dizzy labels.

Non è stato difficile radunare una sala di curiosi commensali che hanno assistito alla prima presentazione del progetto WineArt (Incontro tra vino e arte) nel capoluogo toscano. La partecipazione degli avventori dell'osteria è stata molto vivace: già a inizio serata ci sono stati commenti e domande sulle opere esposte... che si sono perfettamente amalgamate con le estrose decorazioni del locale.

It was not hard to gather numerous diners at be present to the first presentation of the project WineArt (Meeting between wine and art) in the Tuscan capital. The participation of the patrons of the tavern was very lively: already in early evening there were comments and questions on the exposed works ... that were perfectly blended with the fanciful decorations of the local.

Per l'occasione si sono intraviste anche delle piccole anteprime. 

Finalmente le prime etichette del Mamb-O Brut sono state stampate.. e sono state messe a disposizione dei presenti per una prima valutazione.

Maurizio Baccili  ha mostrato dal vivo un esempio di come le tavole di legno che chiudono le scatole delle bottiglie Magnum, possano diventare a tutti gli effetti dei quadri da incorniciare.

Maurizio Baccili showed a live example of how the wooden boards which close the boxes of Magnum bottles can become in effect the paintings to be framed.

Alle nove in punto un "BUONASERA" poderoso gridato da Paolo, il nostro gentile ospite, ha zittito la sala del ristorante per poi passare la parola a Maurizio Masi per la presentazione dell'azienda vinicola, durante il servizio del primo piatto.
Per introdurre i sensi del pubblico a "sintonizzarsi" sulla degustazione, è stato doveroso un breve preambolo sulle caratteristiche principali della denominazione Chianti Rufina e sulla storia delle Cantine Bellini che percorre 5 generazioni di vignaioli.   
 
At nine o'clock a "GOOD EVENING" of the mighty voice from Paolo, our friendly host, has silenced the diners and passed the word to Maurizio Masi for a presentation of the winery, during the first dish service.
To introduce the senses of the audience to "tune" on tasting, it was right a short preamble on the main features of the Chianti Rufina name and the history of the Cantine Bellini that runs through 5 generations of winemakers.

Si è iniziata la cena con una Sfarinata: polenta condita con cavolo nero, carote e fagioli in abbinamento al Mamb-O Bianco (Blend di Trebbiano e Malvasia). Un piatto sostanzioso che coniuga la velocità della preparazione a un gusto avvolgente, molto vicino alla classica "Ribollita". 

The dinner started with a Sfarinata: polenta topped with black cabbage, carrots and beans, combined with the wine MAMB-O White (blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia). A hearty dish that combines the speed of preparation to an enveloping taste, very close to the classic "Ribollita".

Si è proseguito con dei Ravioli ripieni di ricotta e cotechino, conditi con un sugo di lenticchie, in abbinamento al Mamb-O Rosso (Blend di Sangiovese e Merlot). Tipicamente invernali, hanno scaldato e rinfrancato l'animo con la loro bontà. 
Andrea Masi ha guidato l'assaggio dei vini sottolineando la loro versatilità. Un basso grado alcolico non appesantisce la bevuta mentre il naso viene trasportato da aromi fruttati.

The dinner is continued with the Ravioli stuffed with ricotta and sausage, served with a sauce of lentils, combined with the wine MAMBO-Red (blend of Sangiovese and Merlot). Typical winter dish, has warmed and soothes the soul with his goodness.
Andrea Masi has guided the wine tasting highlighting his versatility. A low alcohol content does not weigh down while the nose is transported by fruity aromas.

Ogni volta, quando viene servito un cibo particolarmente prelibato, uno dovrebbe osservare attentamente tutti i commensali e mettere coloro la cui fisionomia non esprime gioia ed estasi, sulla lista degli indegni. (Brillat-Savarin).

 Every time, when is served a particularly delicious food, one should carefully observe all the diners and put those whose appearance does not express the joy and ecstasy, on the list of the unworthy. (Brillat-Savarin).

  
Maurizio Baccili ci ha quindi offerto una piccola pausa prima di passare alle portate di carne per rivelare il messaggio della sua arte e "far sentire" l'energia delle particelle in movimento rappresentate nelle sue opere. 

Maurizio Baccili then offered us a small break before moving on to the meat dishes to reveal the message of his art and "to feel" the energy of the moving particles represented in his works.

Nessuna poesia scritta da bevitori d'acqua può piacere o vivere a lungo. Da quando Bacco ha arruolato poeti tra i suoi Satiri e Fauni, le dolci Muse san sempre di vino al mattino. (Orazio)

Il menu, in abbinamento al 100% (Sangiovese), ha proposto un morbidissimo filetto di maiale all'arancia con semi di papavero. Questo vino ha dimostrato ancora una volta il suo primato indiscusso nel saper fronteggiare i piatti più grassi. 

The menu, in conjunction with the wine 100% (Sangiovese), proposed a soft pork tenderloin with oranges and poppy seeds. This wine continues to demonstrate its undisputed leadership in coping with the most fat dishes.

Si è terminato con uno spezzatino tipico della tradizione toscana che, come ricorda il nome, "Peposo", ha fama di essere particolarmente speziato. Il sapore deciso di questa pietanza si è sposato con la complessa armonia dei profumi del Dominante (Blend Merlot, Cabernet, Syra, Sangiovese).  Questo SuperTuscany riesce sempre a conquistare i commensali sia con specialità della cucina tradizionale, che con quella etnica o fusion.

The dinner ended with a typical traditional Tuscan stew, which, as the name suggests, "Peposo," is considered to be particularly spicy. The flavor of this dish was married to the complex harmony of the scents of the wine Dominante (Blend of Merlot, Cabernet, Syra, Sangiovese). This Supertuscany always manages to win over diners both with the traditional tuscan cuisine, that with the ethnic or the fusion.

Al termine della serata speriamo di aver contribuito ad allontanare per una sera l'umida noia dell' inverno e aver portato un pò di festoso calore nell'animo dei partecipanti. Per i lettori del blog, speriamo di aver raccontato un menu interessante da sperimentare.

CHIANTILOVERS 2016. Note d'amor vinoso. Bocca:Appassionata! Naso:Verso il futuro!

Compiliamo a dovere la nostra scheda di degustazione di un corteo che fa onore al suo nome: ChiantiLovers! Grande la soddisfazione di trovare a Firenze un entusiamo così spontaneo per uno dei baluardi culturali delle terre toscane.

We compile properly our tasting card of a parade that honors its name: ChiantiLovers! Great satisfaction to find in Florence such a spontaneous enthusiasm for one of the cultural bastions of Tuscany.

Sposiamo a pieno le parole del presidente del Consorzio Chianti durante la presentazione dell'evento 2016:  “Il Consorzio e le sue imprese si aprono alla stampa di tutto il mondo e al grande pubblico in modo che tutti possano partecipare ad una anteprima, dove si vuole esprimere qualità ed emozioni vere e durature. Chi verrà a trovarci potrà capire cosa può offrire questa regione: la storia di un vino e della sua cultura enogastronomica che lo rende riconoscibile ovunque nel mondo”.

We condivide in full the words of the President of the Consorzio Chianti during the presentation of the event in 2016: 
"The Consortium and its businesses open themselves to the press from around the world and to the general public so that everyone can participate at the preview, where you want express qualities and emotions real and lasting. Who will come to visit us will understand what this region has to offer: the story of a wine and its food culture that makes it recognizable anywhere in the world ".

 







Non è stato solo un successo di numeri e di presenze ma anche un emozionante "faccia a faccia" con un pubblico appassionato e curioso che, per chi sostiene lo sforzo logistico della manifestazione, è un sincero motivo di orgoglio.

It was not only a success of numbers and appearances but also a thrilling "face to face" with a passionate audience and curious that, for those who support the logistical effort of the event, is a genuine source of pride.

Agli stand 7 (Cantine Bellini) e 54 (Podere Il Pozzo) si sono continuamente avvicendati coppie di giovani alla scoperta delle denominazioni di origine, qualche sommelier alle prime armi che ha approfittato della manifestazione per allenarsi nelle degustazioni, qualche vecchio amico di famiglia che ha conosciuto 4 (!) generazioni della famiglia Bellini e anche un discreto numero di professionisti che ha sfruttato il raduno di tante aziende vinicole per parlare in maniera informale e diretta dei propri progetti.

At the stands 7 (Cantine Bellini) and 54 (Podere Il Pozzo) were continually alternated young couples to the discovery of the different denomination origin, some novice sommeliers who took advantage of the event to train in the tastings, some old family friends who have known 4 (!) generations of the Bellini family and also a good number of professionals who have taken advantage of the gathering of so many wineries to talk informally and directly of their projects.

Nessun assaggio è stato affrettato e nessun colloquio è stato superficiale. E' bello passare una giornata a parlare della propria passione e del proprio lavoro con visitatori rilassati che si godono l'atmosfera festosa che solo il vino sa intessere.

No tasting has been hasty and no meeting has been superficial. It has been nice to spend a day to talk about our passion and our work with visitors that were enjoying the festive atmosphere that only wine can weave.

E' stata un'ottima occasione per far conoscere ai nostri concittadini i nostri canali di distribuzione esteri sortendo un effetto sorpresa. Pur avendo una rinomata zona di denominazione a pochi chilometri di distanza, in molti si sono stupiti che lo stesso prodotto venisse bevuto anche negli Stati Uniti o in Giappone.

It was an excellent opportunity to make known to our fellow citizens our overseas distribution, producing a surprise effect. Despite having the denomination area of origin at few kilometers from Florence, many were surprised that our product is especially loved in the United States or Japan.

Il confronto tra le bottiglie già in commercio e le anteprime presentate è stato divertente.
Il Chianti Cantine Bellini dell'annata 2015 ha già mostrato già una potente dolcezza, nonostante debba ancora maturare 3 mesi. Anche il Podere il Pozzo vendemmia 2014 esprime già ottimi profumi.

The comparison between the bottles already marketed and the presented previews was fun.
The Chianti Cantine Bellini vintage 2015 has already demonstrated potent sweetness, though is yet to mature three months. The Podere il Pozzo harvest  2014 has already expressed great perfumes.

Le riserve Chianti Rufina 2012 - 2013, in linea con le caratteristiche della denominazione, non ha raggiunto ancora un grado di affinamento apprezzabile: questo vino, singolarmente longevo, ha bisogno di tempo per essere pronto.

Reserves Chianti Rufina 2012 - 2013, in line with the characteristics of the designation, have not yet reached a degree of appreciable aging: this wine, very long-lived, he needs time to get ready.

Lo spirito dell'anteprima è anche quello di mettere davanti agli occhi del consumatore non esperto quanto lavoro e cura ci sia nel "costruire" un vino piacevole mese dopo mese, analizzando tutte le note aromatiche che possono esprimere le uve.

The preview spirit is also to put before the eyes of the consumer how much work there is in the "build" a pleasant wine, month after month, analyzing all the aromatic notes that can express the grapes.

Questo stesso è sfuggito ad alcuni addetti stampa che presi dalla frenesia del votare le anteprime si sono lanciati in commenti fantasiosi, dimenticandosi che stavano sostanzialmente valutando prodotti ancora non finiti!

This same has escaped to some press officers that, caught the frenzy of the vote to previews, have launched imaginative comments, forgetting that they were substantially evaluating products still not finished!

Insieme a tutti i ChiantiLovers, non vediamo l'ora di brindare con le nuove annate dei nostri vini per potervi raccontare il loro autentico sapore.

BuyWine 2016 - Alla ricerca di nuovi mercati con nuove idee

Per il terzo anno consecutivo rinnoviamo con entusiasmo  la nostra partecipazione a BuyWine: workshop internazionale organizzato da Toscana Promozione che si conferma come uno degli format più riusciti degli ultimi anni per la promozione del nostro vino nel mondo. Senza dubbio questo evento rappresenta una vera risorsa per piccole aziende locali che cercano di affermare i propri prodotti, cercando sbocchi in nuovi mercati.

For the third consecutive year we renew with enthusiasm our participation in BuyWine: international workshop organized by Toscana Promotion which has been confirmed as one of the format most successful in recent years for the promotion of our wine in the world. No doubt this event is a real asset to small local companies seeking to assert its products, seeking outlets in new markets.

Cercando di sfruttare a pieno le potenzialità degli incontri, abbiamo offerto il massimo impegno nel presentare i nostri vini, nonostante il ritmo serrato degli appuntamenti con gli importatori internazionali (un incontro ogni 20 minuti!).

Trying to exploit the full potential of the meetings, we made the best efforts in presenting our wines, despite the fast pace of appointments with international importers (a meeting every 20 minutes!).

Oltre alle linee classiche Cantine Bellini e Podere il Pozzo, rinomate e apprezzate all'estero, inizia ad avere un peso strategico anche la nostra idea di WineArt. Il progetto commerciale con il pittore Maurizio Baccili si sta strutturando ed inizia ad avere una sua precisa identità volta a rivoluzionare il concetto di "piacere" del vino: un piacere emozionale che interseca il gusto per l'arte e l'arte del gusto.

In addition to the classic lines of Cantine Bellini and Podere il Pozzo, renowned and appreciated abroad, it begins to have a strategic weight even our idea of WineArt. Interessante la novità della comparsa di un sostenuto gruppo di acquirenti canadesi, legato all'azzeramento dei dazi doganali previsto dal “Ceta”, l’accordo di libero scambio tra Unione Europea e il Paese nordamericano. Da sottolineare anche un marcato interesse da rappresentanti dei pasesi orientali, come Russia e Cina.

Grazie alla nostra costante attività sul web, abbiamo avuto a disposizione un ottimo strumento di marketing per farci conoscere ancor prima di avere contatto diretto con i rappresentanti di oltre oceano.


Interesting novelty, the appearance of a sustained group of Canadian buyers, tied to the zeroing of customs duties in the "Ceta", the free trade agreement between the European Union and the North American country. Also of note is a marked interest from representatives of the eastern, such as Russia and China.

Thanks to our constant activity on the web, we had access to a great marketing tool that has permitted us to know the trend even before they have direct contact with the different representatives.

La giostra degli incontri è terminata, come di consueto, con una visita alla sede istituzionale del consorzio Chianti Rufina presso la villa medicea di Poggio Reale. Da questa base logistica sono successivamente partiti dei mini tour alla scoperta delle cantine produttrici e al territorio di origine del vino.

The carousel of meetings ended, as usual, with a visit to the institutional headquarters of the consortium Chianti Rufina at the Medici villa of Poggio Reale. From this basic logistics, subsequently, started the tour to discover the wineries and the territory.

Anche quest'anno è stato emozionante notare la meraviglia e la soddisfazione dei nostri ospiti nel "vivere" per un giorno 100% toscano. La Rufina si è mostrata in una veste quasi primaverile, lasciandosi ammirare da chi ha affrontato un lunghissimo viaggio per scoprirla.

Also this year it was exciting to note the wonder and satisfaction of our guests to "live" a day 100% Tuscan. Rufina was shown in a robe almost spring, admired by those who have faced a long journey to discover it.

Immancabile una esplorazione nella tradizione gastronomica toscana in occasione della cena sociale che ha permesso di riunire, tutti insieme, i produttori del Chianti Rufina e i compratori internazionali.  BuyWine 2016 termina con un brindisi speciale a tutti gli amanti del buon vino!
